Cameron Bridgeman 22nd April 2008

Hello dear! I hope you are doing well. Miss you bunches! I just emailed a girl from Carolina about the benefit concert this coming Thursday and wanted to share with you some of the things I said. This is probably helping me a whole lot more than it is helping you, so thank you! His nature is strong willed, His thoughts original, A loyal friend, A heart of gold, Not afraid to make a stand. -This is the essence of William. He is our Heart of Gold, our Shooting Star. Your visits with him were always greeted and farewelled with open arms and a warm smile. He always thought I was silly or me for being a "hippie" and listening to Widespread Panic, but there is a lyric from a song that everything I hear it makes me think of him: "I was made stronger knowing you as my friend..." This is so true. Even though it took a horrifying (spl?) tragedy and a lot of prayer and thought to realize this, but just like the lyric states, I was made stronger. I am now a more kinder, gentle, compassionate person. I remember at the time of the funeral, I was lost. William's friendship, like many others would say, meant the world to me. I remember talking with his mother, Aunt Genie, and she looked me in my eyes and told me not to worry, "You have a Heart of Gold just like William. Carry on William's Heart of Gold." I do not have to tell you that it was William working through his mother to make sure that I heard those words. I will finish my spill with saying Thank you William and I will NEVER forget your Big Warm Hugs and the way you always called me Cam-Cam. I love you William Robert Rhea.
